Hello Again from the Beautiful Frozen Urban Jungle of Chicago!
I didn’t post yesterday because I was fighting with a video file that I wanted to upload and just couldn’t get to work. I finally gave up, and decided to do a quick recap of the last two days.
The big news was that Ian got interviewed on Tuesday (I have footage of the interview that Wayne shot, but I couldn’t get the video file to work). I took a picture of it below:
One thing I learned is that when there is a large, professional-looking camera filming someone or something, people naturally stop to see what is going on. I am thinking of integrating this into our show strategy. Get a nice camera, and, when there aren’t very many people coming by, bring someone out and interview them. It attracts people and draws them in (and they hear about your product)!
There have been quite a few folks that have come by the booth and quite a number of good leads. It has also been good to connect with the reps agains.
Also, as a side note, Steve Forbes stopped by the show, so that was kind of cool:
I was not at the booth a whole lot today, because I went to visit a customer while Wayne was holding down the fort. Apparently today was the day of the competitors … Two of out competitors came by the booth. I think I will go visit them tomorrow. It has been really good to get to know Wayne this week. Hopefully we’ll get the crate back quickly tomorrow and we can get it packed up before they close down at eight.
Multiple people have asked how the show is going, and my response has been that I feel like we are getting more and better leads than at our previous trade show. So far most of the folks who have come by have shown some serious interest and seem to be decision-makers.
Now it’s time for bed. I have another customer visit to make tomorrow. I’ll leave you with this Chicago picture:
